TWO INCUBATORS FOR KYEBI GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL

Kokrooko Charities, in collaboration with KGL Foundation, has donated two incubators to the Kyebi Government Hospital at the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region. 

Handing over the incubators which  are worth ten thousand dollars each, the Founder of Kokrooko Charities, Kwami Sefa Kayi said, the primary idea is to give back to society. He disclosed that they decided to begin with incubators after research revealed the sad story of infant mortality in Ghana.

Mr. Kayi said, they had so far presented thirty nine incubators to various hospitals and medical facilities, including the Police Hospital and 37 Military Hospital in Accra, the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua, the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and the Tamale Teaching Hospital, amongst others. 

He was hopeful that they would meet their targeted number of one hundred incubators in the near future. Mr. Kayi was grateful to the KGL Foundation, for providing funds for the purchase of the two incubators.

Receiving the items, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Richard Nii Darko Duodu said, the donation had come in handy since the hospital now has the capacity to take care of premature babies. 

He pledged to practice a culture of maintenance in order to keep the equipment in good shape always. He disclosed that this year alone, about sixty patients have been referred from the hospital to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua because of the absence of incubators.

 The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong was grateful to Kokrooko Charities for the kind gesture and urged management of the Hospital to put the equipment into good use.
