Algeria Football Federation is the name of its association. Football in Algeria is the most common popular sport. The nickname of the national team is Fennec Foxes of Algeria.

 The country’s top domestic league is organized into two national divisions, the Algeria Ligue Professionnelle 1 and the Algerian Ligue Professionelle 2.
Algeria has qualified for African Cup of Nations Fifteen Times and won the trophy once in the year 1990 when they hosted.

In the year 1980 they were runners up before winning the trophy in the year 1990. Their first colour is white and their second colour is green.

They played their first International match against Bulgaria which they won by two goals to one. The current FIFA ranking is 79th position, their highest was 15th in October 2014 and their lowest was 103rd in June 2008.
The Algerians enjoyed their biggest win against South Yemen when they dismantled them by 15 goals to 1 which was played in Tripoli, Libya on August 17, 1973.
They tasted their heaviest defeat against Hungary by 7 goals to nil which was played in Budapest, Hungary on August 16, 1967.
Since from the year 1990 that they won the Africa Cup of Nation trophy, the most closeness they have ever come to the trophy was been the fourth place in the year 2010 when it was hosted by Angola.
Djamel Belmadi Coach of Algeria 

The coach of the Algerian National Team is Djamel Belmadi. He  was a former player for the Algerian team and he is hoping to win the trophy for the first time as a coach of Algerian and the second time for the North African Country.
Räis M'Bohi

The captain for the Algerian national team Rais M’Bohi who has made hundred cups for the national team and will be leading the team into this year’s African Cup of Nations which will be coming on in June 7, 2019 to June 30, 2019 in their neighbouring North African Country in Egypt.
Some players to expect in the Algerian National Team in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt are Riyad  Mahrez, Islam Slimani, Bensebaini Ramy, Sofiane Feghouli ,Yacine Brahimi, Yassine Benzia , Nabil Bntaleb, etc.

FREE SHS:VISIONARY POLICY,POORLY IMPLEMENTED. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has been the first president that started the free education from the formerly elementary school getting through to the Secondary and the Technical schools to Universities. Most of the leaders we have in the country who were in the secondary school in the mid-1960s benefited from such free elementary and secondary school education. However, this education policy was overthrown together with Kwame Nkrumah government in the year 1971.
