DODOWA MARKET WOMEN TO STAGE NAKED DEMONSTRATION AGAINST GOVERNMENT.

Market women at the Dodowa market to go on red bandana demonstration to show their displeasure against government.
According to the Market women at Dodowa, they are going to stage red bandana demonstration against the government if their cries and problems encountering them in the market has not been attended to and since the only language the government of Ghana can not resist is demonstration.
Their demonstration will take different dimension since they are going to put on red bandana which in Krobo wearing red bandana on your waist shows the sign of seriousness  to demonstrate their displeasure to the government

Speaking to the PRO of the Market Women Association at Dodowa, Madam Philomena Djagbletey, she demonstrated their disappointment in the government and the authorities at the Dodowa district.
She said after the government has put down the structures for the market, the market has been left ajar and there has not been any development in the market.
Madam Djagbletey said after the structures has been situated and graded by caterpillar, the market has not been levelled and graveled.
Madam Philomena Djagbletey added that since the market has been built on a sloppy land, at least government should have levelled the market so that when the rain falls, the water will not logged in the market. But since that has not been done, just after rainfall then the whole market is choked and flooded with water.

She said their call on the assembly and the government has fallen on death ears and due to that a lot of market women do lost their items and monies when there is a downpour.
The PRO, Madam Djagbletey also added that due to the problems encountering them in the market, customers do not come to the market when there is rainfall and also market women do not get a place to stage their items and goods for customers to come and patronize it.

She said they arranged for demonstration last month in August but the District Chief Executive said their problems in the market will be attended to by the end of September 2018 so they suspended it.
“But now we are going to stage red bandana demonstration against the government and the District Chief Executive if by the end of October and our problems has not been fixed” said Madam Philomena Djagbletey.
The market women said people use red shirts and red cloths to demonstrate their displeasure but for them they are going to put on their red bandana on their waist as the way they do during the dipo festival  to demonstrate their displeasure against the government.
They are also calling on the government to help build fence around the market to prevent armed robbers from invading the market stores and shop at night.

They said since there is no fence build around the market, armed robbers attack their shop and stores at night and steal all their items and goods.
For just about two weeks, armed robbers has invaded about three stores and made away with all the items in the store and even swept the store after their attack.
Madam Djagbletey also added that the market also need electricity and security men who will guide the market at night when they close.
According to them having electricity and security men at the market at night will ease the attack of armed robbers at night.
