EASTERN REGION COUNCIL OF STATE REP ELECTION
Story by Michael Kenetey Kofi Four people have filed their nominations at the Eastern Regional Office of the Electoral Commission to contest the Council of Statement membership in the region. The four, all males include a 60-year-old business executive, who is also the incumbent Paa Kofi Ansong, a 35-year-old teacher Ernest Mawufemor Amemakuse, a 33-year-old Librarian Citizen Francis Tetteh and 61-year-old Mechanical Engineer, James Amanor Ossom. The Eastern Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, Faith Amedzake who provided the information said that only the four filed their nominations at the close of nominations on last Thursday 4th February at 5:00pm. She added that the elections will be held on Friday 12th February at the Regional Coordinating Council. The electoral college comprise of two representatives from all the 33 districts in the region nominated by the district assemblies making up 66 delegates.
